Beatrice (Bea) Madden, Program Director/Clinical Supervisor

Beatrice (Bea) Madden, LPCC-S
Therapist
Bea says she knew early on in life her destiny was to reach out to those who were broken, bruised, or struggled in life. She started her career in the school system serving children, parents, and families, and met many wonderful people. After her children were grown, she decided to change careers and returned to school to obtain a master’s degree, focusing on counseling. She has more than two decades of experience in treating addiction and mental health. After her degree every position she accepted ended up serving those who struggled with overcoming addiction and other related mental health related issues. It was no coincidence she would provide support, encouragement, counseling, and an empathetic ear to some of the very children and families she has served in the school system. Her heart and passion continue to be in serving those who desire to overcome addiction and improve their mental health.

Megan Holbrook
Peer Support
My name is Megan Holbrook. I was born and raised in Hazard. I have a daughter, Natalie, who most of my time is spent with. I started my recovery journey in 2019. I am 4 years clean and sober. I am a Peer Support Specialist and Court Liaison at Beacons of Hope. My experience working here has been nothing short of amazing. I am so grateful that I get to share my story, and my own lived experience to someone who is struggling with the same things I struggled with. Recovery is very much possible, and I hope that I can show the ones who are dealing with addiction that your past does not define who you are destined to be.
